- Percolation: water that is absorbed into the soil
- Evaporation: water that heats up into a gas and collects in the atmosphere
- Condensation: water vapor collected in the atmosphere and creates clouds
- Carbon Cycle: How carbon moves through the environment
- Combustion: burning of fuels
- Respiration: breathing
- Nitrogen Cycle: how nitrogen moves through the environment
- Nitrates: a nitrogen compound that is usable by plants
